100 points James Suckling: "This is, to date, the greatest Vintage Port ever from here. It overwhelmed me years ago when I tasted it from barrel, but only now is it crossing gradually into its drinking window. The intensity is still mind-boggling here, with sweet-and-sour notes as well as mounds of clay. There are violets lurking somewhere too. A full-bodied, medium sweet and sublime Vintage Port, showing forest fruits and freshly picked blackberries on the palate in the form of a creamy, focused and tannic texture." This wine comes from vineyards located directly between Cheval Blanc and Figeac. Excellent and consistent winemaking has been the hallmark of La Tour-Figeac.
Price: $129.99

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Latour, Pauillac ((92-94ST), 92RP, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very deep ruby-red. Pungent, inky, nutty aromas of blackcurrants and minerals; very sexy oak treatment gives the nose a wonderful sweetness. Big, minerally, and shapely, with lovely purity of dark berry flavor. Has clarity and grip, but not quite the richness of the '95. The tannins build in the glass, but are in harmony with the wine's middle palate material. Uncanny length for the vintage. (ST)" (05/1996)
Starting Bid: $1,070.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Latour A Pomerol, Pomerol ((89-92ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium color. Very distinctive kirsch and mineral aromas, with a penetrating, iodiney quality. Sweet, concentrated fruit is nicely framed by ripe acidity. Bright and serious. Finishes with substantial but fine and nicely integrated tannins. (ST)" (05/1996)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Ducru is on a roll, with fine efforts over recent vintages, including an exceptional 1994, spectacular 1995, and what looks to be an equally profound, super-concentrated 1996. A top-notch effort in this vintage, Ducru-Beaucaillou's 1994 displays a dark purple color, a textbook, cassis, mineral, licorice, and floral-scented nose, medium body, outstanding extract and purity, moderate tannin, and a persuasively rich, sweet, spicy finish. Everything is well-integrated (including the tannin). This should prove to be a classic St.-Julien. (RP)" (02/1997)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Dow's Vintage Port (97WS, 96RP, 93DC). Wine Spectator: "A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future. (JS)" (12/1999)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Margaux, Margaux (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nose is intriguing: very open with a touch of mulch, graphite, mint and crushed flowers, very “old school”...hints of juniper. It is very well balanced and fresh, quite crisp with slight hints of undergrowth and tar. It trails off a little towards the finish, but maintains good balance. It is a little sharp and a little dry on the finish, but is drinking perfectly now. (NM)" (03/2012)
Starting Bid: $900.00

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96VN, 95DC, 92RP). Vinous: "What a pleasure it is to taste and drink the 1994 Opus One. Far better than a bottle I had last year, this bottle is absolutely terrific. Voluptuous, sexy and layered to the core, the 1994 races across the palate with superb depth and pure class. (AG)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 375 ml 4-bottle lot of 1994 Dow Vintage Port (375ml) (97WS, 96RP, 93DC). Wine Spectator: "A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future. Best after 2008. (JS)" (12/1999)
