94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red-ruby. Fabulous nose of toffee, coffee, smoke, cinnamon, minerals and a faint animal quality. Extraordinarily thick entry; great density and sweetness but with plenty of underlying acidity and backbone. As with the voluptuous ‘89, there's lovely delineation of flavor beneath all the glycerine. Finishes with a wave of melting tannins. Kept revealing additional nuances as it opened in the glass. Along with the '90 L'Angelus, a great example of what can be done with controlled yields, 100% new o...

1990 Domaine Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru "Les Avaux"
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Beaune-Avaux tastes like sweet candy. An opulent, decadently rich, medium to full-bodied wine bursting with jammy fruit, this fleshy, juicy wine will continue to drink well for another 10-12 years. In issue 83 I intimated that Jadot's Beaune premiers crus were dazzling. Ten premiers crus were made in 1990, all but one of which are outstanding. (RP)" (12/1992) Wine Spectator: "Lively and fresh, with lovely plum and cherry aromas and flavors. Behind the subtle texture lurks nice concentration and a large...

1990 Pavie, St-Emilion (Previously $390) (Previously $390)
Back In Stock!
92 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe and fresh. Just what it should be. Deep ruby with red hue. Loads of chocolate, vanilla, tobacco and ripe fruit. Full bodied with lots of velvety tannins and a long finish. (JS)" (08/2000) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Perhaps the last great Pavie before Gerard Perse bought the estate in 1997. The 1990 Pavie sports a deep core with deep tawny rim and sports a very “classic” Pavie bouquet that is muted at first, but unfurls gracefully with intense cedar aromas deriving from the Cabernet Sauvignon. Underneath th...

Bid on this bottle of 1990 l'Evangile, Pomerol (95WS, 94DC, 94JG, 93RP, 93ST). Wine Spectator: "Big and ripe. Dark ruby-garnet color. Very ripe berry, chocolate and plum aromas. Full-bodied and chewy, with lots of tannins and a very ripe fruit finish. Tight, muscular and concentrated. Needs time. (JS)" (08/2000)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 97WS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 La Chapelle is sexy and opulent. I had the 1990 at the Jaboulet tasting, and again out of a double magnum three months ago. On both occasions it was spectacular, clearly meriting a three-digit score. The modern day equivalent of the 1961, it deserves all the attention it has garnered. The color remains an opaque purple, with only a slight pink at the edge. Spectacular aromatics offer up aromas of incense, smoke, blackberry fruit, cassis, barbecue spice, coffee, and a touch of chocolate. As it sits in the glass, additional nuances of pepper and grilled steak emerge. (RP)" (06/2000)
Starting Bid: $535.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Rene Rostaing "Côte Blonde" Côte-Rôtie (95JD, 95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde was singing! Loaded with notions of cassis, kirsch liqueur and blackberry fruit, it developed additional olive, game and meatiness in the glass. Full-bodied, layered and seamless, with perfect balance, this is as sexy and seamless as they come. (JD)" (02/2015)
Starting Bid: $343.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Rene Rostaing "La Landonne" Côte-Rôtie (91RP, 90JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Rostaing's 1990 La Landonne exhibits an earthy, animal, smoky character, superb richness of fruit, gobs of glycerin and extraction, soft tannins, and low acidity. (RP)" (12/1996)
Starting Bid: $265.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (99JS, 96RP, 93VN). James Suckling: "This is really incredible with orange peel, dried pineapple and flan. Exotic. Full body, round and savory. Crazy character at the finish of cooked pineapple and tart tartine. Gorgeous; can't believe it. " (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $650.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1990 La Gaffelière, St-Emilion (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deep ruby-colored 1990 offers up abundant aromas of sweet new oak, ripe berry fruit, and floral scents. In the mouth, this stylish, medium-weight, beautifully proportioned wine has excellent concentration, decent acidity, moderate tannins, and a considerable sense of elegance and richness. It is the finest La Gaffeliere since the 1970 and 1947. (RP)" (02/1993)
