93 points John Gilman: "The 2018 les Pruliers from Grégory Gouges is also outstanding and was unaffected by the July storms. The bouquet is very pure and already shows lovely complexity, delivering a combination of black plums, sweet dark berries, woodsmoke, a touch of anise, complex soil tones, bitter chocolate, pigeon and a topnote of sweet herbs. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and shows off marvelous mid-palate depth, with superb balance and grip, ripe, seamless tannins and a very, very long, very classy finish. All this needs is time to ...

94 points Decanter: "This nearly 1ha premier cru vineyard is among my favourites from Gouges, year after year. In 2018 the wines have wonderful purity and freshness, despite the heat, and the aromatics are alluring: crushed violets, nutmeg and dark cherries. Beautiful and focused with firm, ripe, supple tannins. Aged for 18 months in 20% new barriques. Long finish. (JCL)" (02/2020) 94 points John Gilman: "The 2018 Vaucrains chez Gouges is an excellent wine in the making- powerful and loaded with pure fruit and firm tannins, but not as massive as the ve...

2008 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Chaignots"

91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A spicy and wonderfully complex nose of red berry liqueur, violets and earth notes, the latter of which continues onto the pure, refined and poised middle weight flavors that possess outstanding balance and excellent length. This is really quite lovely if entirely serious and I admire how fine the tannins are. Note that this will require at least a decade to be at its best. *Outstanding*" (01/2011) 90-91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted assembled from tank, the Chevillon 2008 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Chai...

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The most structured and muscular of Domaine de l'Arlot's premiers crus, the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Forêts St Georges wafts from the glass with aromas of cassis, plums, dark berries, raw cocoa and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a youthfully chalky finish, this is an elegantly muscular wine built to age. Geraldine Godot began harvest at the Domaine de l'Arlot on September 12, reporting yields averaging around 22 hectolite...

92-94 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuit Saint-Georges Les Roncières 1er Cru comes from a one-hectare parcel of around 60-year-old vines. It has a clean, precise bouquet of blackberry, briar, crushed rocks and light marine scents (oyster shell and crustacean), understated and quite reserved for this domaine. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy black fruit, displaying more sapidity than Les Bousselottes and fanning out gently toward the finish. This feels quite approachable in style thanks to its silky finish. Touches of hoisin and truffle emerge on the afte...

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Forêts St Georges is a lovely wine in the making, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, wild berries, spices, licorice and smoked meats. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, its muscular chassis of powdery tannin entirely cloaked in fruit, concluding with a long and nicely defined finish. (WK)" (01/2020) 92-94 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Fôrets Saint Georges 1er Cru, one of the two monopoles of the do...

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "By the standards of the average 2000 red, this is still exceptionally young, indeed to the point of being somber and almost taciturn on the earth red and dark berry fruit nose that leads to backward if round medium full flavors that finish with pronounced firmness on the nicely long finale. This will require the better part of a decade to really be at its best." (11/2006)
Price: $189.99

95 points Decanter: "One of an impressive array of premiers crus from the south side of Nuits, the Chevillons' parcel in Pruliers extends to 0.6ha and is 55 years old. It's a wine of considerable freshness, detail and precision, showing floral aromas, some sweet spices, succulent red berry fruit and a focussed, chalky finish. (TA)" (11/2018) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A virile wine built for the cellar, the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers unfurls in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cassis, peonies, orange rind...

91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, red fruit compote, potpourri and smoked meats, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Murgers is medium to full-bodied, gourmand and textural, with a deep core of fruit framed by rich structuring tannins and ripe acids. This is a dramatic but nicely balanced Murgers from Hudelot-Noellat. (WK)" (01/2020) 90-92 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Murgers 1er Cru is blessed with a lovely bouquet of black cherries and touches of cassis and briar. Gorge...

95 points Decanter: "The most Vosne-Romanée-like of the Nuits-St-Georges Premiers Crus according to Etienne Grivot, with a character that he identifies as 'a little wild', Aux Boudots often produces on my favourite wines at the domaine. It's plush, smooth and glossy all right, with a sheen of aromatic 30% new wood, fine tannins and some underlying bounce and vitality. (TA)" (10/2019) 93-95 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru comes from the old part of the vineyard, half of which was replanted in spring 2017 (these young vin...

91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again, reduction dominates the fruit at present. The surprisingly supple mid-palate of the caressing medium-bodied flavors contrasts with the mineral-inflected, firm and very serious finish where a touch of warmth emerges. This is unapologetically built to age yet the suppleness of the mid-palate should allow it to be enjoyed a bit earlier than usual. Good stuff provided you're prepared to cellar it for at least a few years first. *Burghound Outstanding!*" (01/2020) K&L Notes: 91-94pts Jasper Morris Inside ...

90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe yet cool and restrained nose speaks of liqueur-like aromas of red and dark pinot fruit laced with hints of earth and the sauvage. The rich, palate coating and energetic middle weight flavors possess good depth on the firm and youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently structured to need at least a few years of bottle age and a wine that should reward 10 to 12." (01/2020)

92-94 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru felt a little subdued when I tasted it from barrel; perhaps it is closing down more quickly than its siblings as the winter cold settles in the cellar. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins and a little angular at the moment, but there is ample freshness on the graphite-tinged finish. A more aloof and serious Aux Thorey than in the past. It will be fascinating to see how this shows once in bottle. (NM)" (01/2020) 90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again there is ...

95 points Decanter: "Méo owns over 1ha of vines in Les Boudots, just over the border from Vosne-Romanée Malconsorts, in the village of Nuits-St-Georges. This combines the elegance of Vosne and the structure of Nuits to give a wine with rich, plummy fruit, an earthy undertone, and an opulent structure on the palate that combines density with well-managed tannins. The balance is strikingly good between the velvety texture, rich fruit and firm structure; it shows well now, but will improve considerably with age. Drinking Window 2024 - 2039. (CC)" (10/2020) ...

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A cooler and equally reserved nose features shy notes of various red berries that are cut with hints of wild black currant, spice and violet whiffs. There is excellent energy and a relatively sophisticated texture to the medium-bodied flavors that flash a taut muscularity on the dusty, serious and youthfully austere finish that displays terrific depth and persistence. Excellent and very promising. *Burghound Outstanding!!*" (01/2021) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bursting with aromas of blackberri...

94 points Decanter: "A domaine-owned parcel at the foot of the slope in Nuits, just on the border with Vosne, and with an average age of more than 50 years, yielding a wine with dark fruit and plenty of perfume. This is a bit closed on the initial attack, but opens up with time to show an expressive, subtle side, with a velvety texture and rewarding length on the palate. Drinking Window 2024 - 2039. (CC)" (12/2020) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers is showing particularly well—just like its 20...

95 points Decanter: "This stony vineyard tends to produce one of Sébastien Cathiard's densest, plushest and most concentrated Premier Cru reds. The perfume is very engaging and enticing here, with violet and blackcurrant leaf scents leading you into a palate that is sweetly wooded in 60% new barrels, juicy and well balanced. The tannins are woven into the texture of the wine. Drinking Window 2024 - 2032. (TA)" (10/2019) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers is showing brilliantly, bursting with ar...

90-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A whiff of herbal tea sits atop a mélange of spicy and very pretty red cherry, currant, violet and lavender. The rich and relatively generously proportioned flavors possess solid concentration as well as a refined texture, all wrapped in an intensely saline-inflected finale that exhibits fine length. There is a mild touch of warmth but otherwise, this is really quite fine, indeed even finer than usual." (01/2020) K&L Notes: Note: from a .43 ha parcel of vines planted in 1953
Price: $399.99

91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Bousselots is also showing very well, soaring from the glass with a dramatic bouquet of raspberries, black truffles, dark chocolate, rich soils tones and a deft framing of toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ripe and broad-shouldered, its ample core of fruit is girdled by succulent acids and powdery tannin. (WK)" (01/2020) 91-93 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Bousselottes 1er Cru offers ripe black currant, raspberry and wilted rose petal aromas on...

92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the expressive nose possesses the classic spiciness of a fine Les Cailles along with notes of poached plum, black cherry and enough earth to remind one that this is still a Nuits. The elegant and pure middle weight flavors display a sophisticated texture yet there is no lack of power and sleek muscularity on the lightly stony and balanced finale. Like several of the wines in the range, this needs to develop more depth that it should occur in time. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*" (04/2021) 94 points James Sucklin...

91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Riper yet still quite fresh aromas consist mainly of plum liqueur, earth, spice elements and a whiff of the sauvage. The suave, round and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors possess very good size, weight and power while delivering fine length on the balanced finale that is partially shaped by bright acidity. While there is clearly the requisite stuffing to reward extended keeping, this should also drink reasonably well young. *Outstanding*" (01/2021) 93 points Decanter: "This 0.68ha, domaine-owned parcel...

93 points Decanter: "Produced from grapes purchased from a parcel of mature vines, the fruit is destemmed and gently fermented prior to ageing in cask. The finished wine has a svelte and elegant palate, a lovely, sweet red fruit character and an intriguing hint of dark chocolate on the finish. Drinking Window 2024 - 2029. (CC)" (10/2020) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes (Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs) mingles notes of raspberries, cassis and plums with hints of rose petals and Indian spices. ...

95 points Decanter: "The Gouges have a total of 1.08ha of what many consider to be a Grand Cru in all but name and always make one of the best expressions of the terroir. This is quite forward for a Les-St-Georges, with ripe, spicy, bramble and mulberry flavours, scented oak, some aromatic spices and a backbone of grippy tannins. At the more alcoholic end of the spectrum. (TA)" (10/2019) 95 points John Gilman: "The 2018 Les St. Georges from Domaine Gouges is also superb, with the depth, power and structure of the very best wines of the commune in 2018,...

92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers is showing especially well, unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet wild berries, plums, sweet soil tones and smoked meats. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, textural and concentrated, with lively acids, ripe tannins and a long, penetrating finish. Like many of Méo's 2018s, I suspect it will offer a broad drinking window. The 2018 vintage has turned out brilliantly at Domaine Méo-Camuzet, delivering exquisitely balanced wines that were strikingly ex...

91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Bousselots is very promising, bursting from the glass with a fragrant bouquet of rose petal, orange rind and small red berries. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and succulent with tangy acids, melting tannins and a long, perfumed finish. (WK)" (01/2019) 90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a lovely perfumed quality to the very fresh red currant and newly turned earth scents where a trace of the leather creeps in. I very much like the...

92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like the Nuits Murgers, Méo's 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots is showing especially well this year, soaring from the glass with a complex bouquet of ripe cherries, raspberries, rose petals and spices, complemented by subtle hints of rich soil as well as carnal nuances. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and elegant, with good concentration, fine tannins and a long, mineral finish. As usual, Méo chose to incorporate some whole clusters in this cuvée. Like many of the wines in ...

90-92 points Vinous: "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de l’Arlot Blanc 1er Cru is matured in 20% new oak. It has a well-defined and fragrant bouquet, subtle scents of marzipan and orange pith unfurling with aeration. The well-balanced palate offers orange peel and a touch of bitter lemon on the entry. This delivers more weight and a little more density than the La Gerbotte, finishing with pleasing salinity and a hint of toffee apple. Give it a couple of years in bottle. (NM)" (01/2020) 88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A cool but ripe nose con...

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "This generous although also complex wine brings in many elements. With lush tannins and concentrated acidity it has a dry, still very young character. The weight of juicy fruit suggests a future that is rich and for the long-term. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (02/2018) 94 points James Suckling: "Extremely rich and opulent aromas with blueberries, orange peel and peach seeds. Flowers, too. Full and round, offering up rich tannins and a flavorful finish. Very persistent. " (04/2017) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Dark tones of black...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Faiveley Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Aux Vignerondes" ((90-93BH), (89-92VN)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the fruit runs towards the blue side of the spectrum with aromas of blue berry, plum and violets that is in keeping with the extremely rich and mouth coating medium weight flavors that possess a seductive mouth feel even though the tannins that surface on the balanced, long and serious finish are rather firm." (01/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Michel Gros Nuits-St-Georges "Les Chaliots" ((89-92BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A moderately toasty nose of spiced plum, very pungent earth and subtle wet stone nuances marries seamlessly into exceptionally rich and concentrated medium weight flavors that brim with copious amounts of dry extract that imparts a highly textured and moderately chewy mouth feel to the strikingly long finish. While the wood influence isn't subtle at present, this clearly is not intended for immediate consumption and there appears to be more than enough mid-palate density to easily absorb the wood in time. In sum, if you're in the market for age-worthy villages candidates, this offers excellent quality in a tightly wound and mildly austere package that should reward 12+ years of cellar time. *Outstanding Top Value*" (01/2012)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Bouchard Père & Fils Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Porrets Saint-Georges" ((90-92BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is quite ripe but stops just short of being surmature with its spicy, earth and liqueur-like aromas of black cherry and a hint of menthol. The rich, seductive and suave medium-bodied flavors finish with mild austerity on the surprisingly cool and well-balanced finish." (05/2011)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Bousselots" ((91-93RP), (89-92BH), 92JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Les Bousselots bursts from the glass with the blackest of cherries, plums, menthol and spices. It shows tremendous depth and richness in a plush, totally inviting style that nearly buries the tannins. Today it is immensely appealing, but I have a hard time thinking it won’t shut down in bottle given the sheer structure of the material. These vines are over 50 years old. (AG)" (11/2011)
Starting Bid: $345.00
