2015 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (Previously $370) (Previously $370)
Back In Stock!
Top Pick!
98 points John Gilman: "The 2015 Louis Roederer Cristal is composed this year from a cépages of sixty percent pinot noir and forty percent chardonnay, with twenty-five percent of the vins clairs raised in oak barrels. As is customary, the still wines do not go through malolactic fermentation for Cristal and the wine was finished with a dosage of seven grams per liter in this vintage, after aging nearly seven years sur lattes. It delivers a beautifully refined aromatic constellation of apple, nectarine, a superbly complex base of chalky minerality, a touc...

2007 Glengoyne 16 Year Old "Old Malt Cask" K&L Exclusive Single Refill Sherry Butt Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (700ml)
Top Pick!
The wonderful Glengoyne distillery is always one to keep an eye. Built in 1833, it was sold by Archiball Macllelan to the Lang Brothers where it remained until 1965 when it was purchased by a predecessor organization to Edrington Group. In 2003, it was sold to blenders and bottlers Ian Macleod and they've rightfully made Glengoyne a worldwide brand. They're famous for their sherried malt and it's rare to see a butt make it out of their warehouses under anyone else's label. That's why we were so excited to see this pop up and when we tasted it we knew we ...

97 points Decanter: "The 172ème édition, based around the 2016 vintage, is a delicate, floral and saline Grande Cuvée at this early stage in its life. The palate it taut, tightly wound, gradually unfurling into toasted fruit bread, rye bread and roasted nuts, wrapped around an intricate and taut lemon core. It's exceptionally long, spicy, rounded and spherical in shape. Notes of sweet unsalted butter round out the finish, which has such length, elegance and balance. 58% of the wine is from the 2016 vintage, which saw a lot of rain in the spring and close...

2005 Undisclosed Jamaica 17 Year Old "Golden Devil" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Jamaican Rum (700ml)
Top Pick!
This phenomenal barrel of rum will forever be a mystery. Wild speculation exists about its source and the bottler has absolutely zero information from the source about its marque. Those circumstances are highly unusual considering the quality and character of the rum in question. But, if you notice similar batches out there, there are only a handful of distillers that could supply this rum. Worthy Park, we've had others from the vintage and they have always included the blenders marque. The distillery was only selling in bulk at the time and their stocks...

2015 Canon, St-Emilion (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
Top Pick!
100 points James Suckling: "Seductive. The nose draws you in deep: It’s like staring into a well of pristine dark cherries, dark plums, blackberries and mulberries. All the oak is perfectly subsumed. The palate’s flawless with immense depth and power and it’s so balanced as to appear to float. Immaculate fresh dark-berry and plum flavors. Silky and deep, ribbon-like finish. Perfect. *2018 Wine of the Year*" (02/2018) 100 points Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Canon was a benchmark wine that seemed to revitalize this historic estate. I was crossing my fingers ...

2005 Glenrothes 18 Year Old "Old Particular" K&L Exclusive First Fill Sherry Butt Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Top Pick!
This exceptional find is one of the very best values K&L has ever been able to offer. Glenrothes is truly one of Speyside's most prized distillers, and its extremely unusual for them to let go of heavily sherried stocks, let alone something that's aged over 18 years. This one was distilled in February of 2005 and aged for 18 years in a first fill sherry butt. The results speak for themselves, a dense powerful malt style full of powerful spice and complex sherry. The Glenrothes Distillery was founded in the town of Rothes in 1879 by James Stuart & Co., ow...

2003 Benrinnes 19 Year Old "Old Malt Cask 25th Anniversary" K&L Exclusive Single Canasta Sherry Butt Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Top Pick!
The Old Malt Cask line of single cask single malts was created by the Laing brothers in 1998. They've since bottled countless legendary single malt and continue to surprise and delight connoisseurs with their diverse range of exceptionally selected single casks. Unlike K&L's Exclusive single casks, Old Malt Cask is traditionally bottled at 100 proof, but always without chillfiltration or coloring of any kind. The Laings selected a diverse range of malts to celebrate 25 years in the single cask business, picking out choice casks and bottling them in the g...

100 points Vinous: "Antinori's 2021 Solaia is another wine that captures all of the potential I sensed when I tasted it some months ago. More than anything else, the 2021 is a fine example of the style Antinori favors these days, an approach that favors finesse more than opulence. Dark plum, mocha, licorice, chocolate, spice, lavender and menthol build effortlessly in the glass. Oak and tannin are impeccably balanced. The 2021 spent 18 months in wood, three months in once-used barrels during the malolactic fermentation and then 15 months in 100% new barr...

Old grain is becoming extremely rare and difficult to source. Where we once had unlimited access, we've been takenaback by how expensive even lesser grain has become. But quality single grain has also found an audience and this awesome Invergordon will be stupendous news for those already initiated and an enticing invitiation to those who are not. The Invergordon Distillery was founded relatively late in the Scotch game by famed blenders Whyte & Mackay. Built in 1959, it boasts 3 coffey style column stills and a massive capacity 36 million liters of alco...

92-94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Barrel sample. There's great fruit here, lovely ripe dark plums and black cherry flavors pushing through the hugely sweet tannins. It's very opulent, a great full-fruited wine. (RV)" (06/2006) 92 points Wine & Spirits: "A gravel wash of tannin creates the structural base for this wine, spreading red currant and licorice root flavors through a long finish. The fruit is bold and supple, the mineral flavor providing tension that will sustain the wine as it ages over the next decade. For braised lamb." (10/2008) 90 points W...

96-100 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2023 Château Margaux is clearly one of the greats in the vintage, and it actually reminds me a touch of the 1996, if not better. Revealing a deep purple hue, it has an incredible bouquet of cassis and blue fruits interwoven with classic Margaux floral, sandalwood, spice, and graphite aromatics. It's hard to find a wine in 2023 that has this much density and depth, with sweet tannins and so much charm. The blend is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, all of which will see 20 mont...

Egly-Ouriet Grand Cru Extra Brut Champagne
Top Pick!
95 points Decanter: "Although this appears as the 'house' non-vintage, in character it is more akin to a vintage wine that needs some time on cork. Tasted young, the saturated fruit—apricot, spiced apples, grilled lemons—is already expressive, yet not fully unsprung. Based on 2018 with 40% reserves back to 2016, the heat of 2018 is in the fruit profile rather than weight or grip, and is more about persistence than pure power, underlined by the oak élevage yet not coloured by it. 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay from Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay. 100% ba...

2016 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
Top Pick!
97 points James Suckling: "Terrific intensity of dark berries, almost peppery blackcurrants and violets with attractive and integrated, spicy oak and an earthy edge. The palate has a super powerful and long, linear core with plenty of fruit flesh strapped in tight for a long and thrilling ride into the finish." (02/2019) 97 points Wine Advocate: "A brilliant young wine, the 2016 Léoville Barton unwinds in the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries and cigar box mingled with subtle hints of loamy soil. 100 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Château Lynch-Bages is stunningly good, and it's going to be interesting to compare this to the 2018 over the coming decades. Based on 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, brought up in 75% new French oak, its dense purple hue is followed by an incredible bouquet of pure crème de cassis, freshly sharpened cedar pencil, spring flowers, smoke, and graphite, with an almost liqueur of rocks-like minerality. " (03/2023) 96 points Bob Campbell: "Lacking depth of colour but showing surprising power with flavours that suggest red cherry, floral/red rose and fresh herb flavours. 94 points Vinous: "A host of Cabernet Sauvignon-infused aromas make a strong opening statement in the 1978 Pichon Lalande. There is certainly no shortage of power or character. If anything, the 1978 is perhaps a bit lacking in mid-palate depth, which gives it an element of austerity. Aside from that small critique, the 1978 is deeply expressive and gorgeous. 2006 Mortlach 17 Year Old "Old Particular" K&L Exclusive Refill Hogshead Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Top Pick!
A good nicely aged Mortlach is something we wish we could offer more readily. Make it stupidly drinkable and at an unbelievably generous price, and we’ll drop nearly everything else. This attractive little refill hogshead is a dreamy, offering malt driven style from the Beast of Dufftown. You can visit a bona fide Fairy Village in Dufftown these days or the famous Giant's Chair, but the wonderful distillery in the gully by the stream to the south of town is arguably the town's most magical spot. The Mortlach makes an extremely unique malt. The distillati...

2009 Latour, Pauillac 2024 Ex-Chateau Release (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
Top Pick!
100 points Jane Anson: "Unmistakable Latour in an exceptional vintage, so you should expect a muscular, sculpted and confident wine that is bursting with Pauillac character, showcasing the brilliance of this clay-gravel location overlooking the Gironde Estuary. Still just emerging from its primary stage but just about ready to drink if you give it long enough in a carafe - although it will be even better with another decade. Think blackberry, bilberry, cassis, charcoal, slate, sage, incense, cigar box, grilled cumin and a ton of black chocolate shavings....

Full-bodied with seamless tannins that coat the palate and then fall into the center, to deliver a thoroughly refined and harmonious young red. Endless finish. 86% cabernet sauvignon. This is the new 1959, one of the legendary vintages of Mouton. Try after 2026." Wine Advocate: "This is a very attractive Leoville-Barton that seems to be developing at a more accelerated pace than I had initially expected. A lovely, rather full, big bouquet of smoky, berryish, ripe fruit is first class. On the palate, the wine shows a good cedary, spicy, deep fruity constitution, moderate tannins, and a long finish. (RP)" (12/1997) Wine Spectator: "A firm, chunky style, with explosive red cherry and currant flavors, fairly high alcohol and tannin and solid flavors on the finish." (02/1992)
Price: $209.99

99 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a must-have for any Nebbiolo lover, opening with aromas of reconstituted cherries bathed in sweet and savory spices and dried rosebuds. Supple with tannins that coat the palate gently while the plush red fruit notes roll around with sweet tea and dried leaf notes on the sublime finish. Drink now in perpetuity. 91-94 points Jasper Morris: "Pale lemon yellow. This is very classy, purer and fresher, with all the little stones queuing up at the end of the palate, savoury but with fresh white fruit all around, much less dry than Séchet. Fine long finish. Drink from 2029-2038. " (09/2023) 92-94 points Wine Advocate: "Bursting with notes of white flowers, orange zest, nutmeg and iodine, the 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with bright acids and a long, expansive and perfumed finish. It's long, sleek and mineral, with tight, very fine bubbles and so much tension and precision. Very long and chalky finish." (07/2024) 98 points Vinous: "The 2013 Comtes de Champagne is a towering Champagne, as it was last year. The finish is a long, rocky road, stony, cool and precise. A formidable showing. Drinkable now, but best from 2027." Based on 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, raised in 65% new barrels, it offers a dense purple hue to go with gorgeous notes of blackcurrants, spring flowers, cigar wrapper, and sandalwood. 93 points Wine Advocate: "Graham is another great port house, producing one of the deepest-colored and sweetest styles of vintage port. Along with Taylor and Fonseca, Graham has probably been the most consistent producer of great port in the post- World War II era. Their tawnys are quite good rather than exceptional, but their vintage ports are truly sublime and sumptuous. (RP)" (12/1988) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Medium ruby-red. The width and depth of the ripe tannins is matched pace for pace by an elegance to the cassis, bilberry, blackcurrant fruit. As it opens, cocoa bean, smoked earth, charcoal, graphite and woodsmoke come spiralling out of the glass, and this is just gorgeous. Each vintage is a testament to Marcel Giesen and Sherwyn Veldhuizen's commitment to the land and continuous advancements in winemaking.

100 points Decanter: "Just over a third of the harvest made it into the grand vin to give a wine of startling concentration and purity, with lovely, forward cassis fruit and a hint of spice on the attack. The texture is fresh but not overly tannic, and there is a surprisingly sweet, silky feel cloaking the powerful extract. Best to wait another decade before trying this, but it will last a half-century beyond that. Moderate temperatures followed a flowering disrupted slightly by cool weather and rain. The summer was dry and sunny, if somewhat cool. The M...

(11/2014) 95 points Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Flaccianello della Pieve is now hitting that very specific point in a wine's evolution in which you still identity some of the fruit, but you also get a supporting chorus of evolved aromas that enhance the overall finesse and depth of the bouquet. 1986 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (high shoulder, bin soiled, nicked label)
Top Pick!
100 points Decanter: "Wonderful, concentrated and still astonishingly young, this has brushes of violet aromatics rising above the tight cassis fruits and rich black truffle, and the classic menthol edging of a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated Pauillac. We drank this over lunch and it was breathtaking, but were told that 24 hours later it had blossomed even further, so make sure you give this a serious amount of time in carafe to open up - something that gives you just a small clue as to how structured, layered and complex the wine we are dealing with here i...

98 points Vinous: "The 1977 Taylor's Vintage Port is initially tight and conservative on the nose: strawberry, baked cherry, tobacco and wild hedgerow notes emerging but remaining tight-lipped. This needs a good decant! The palate is endowed with depth and concentration, very well balanced with an attractive crispness. Perhaps you could argue that it is a 'linear' and more 'correct' Taylor's compared to the 1970 and lacks some charm. But there is immense complexity here so it is more a case of a Port demanding a very long maturation in bottle. (NM)" (06/...

100 points Vinous: "The 2020 Percarlo is a wine of nearly indescribable finesse and nuance. All the elements are so well balanced. In 2020, Percarlo is wonderfully understated, with mind-blowing balance and barely no perception of tannin. I don’t remember ever tasting a Percarlo with this much linear energy, tension and focus. The clean, mineral-drenched finish is unforgettable. The 2020 is, quite simply, spectacular. (AG)" (08/2023)

The Marchesi Antinori 2021 Tignanello (made with 79% Sangiovese, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc) pulls on all the heartstrings. To be released in May, the wine shows a quintessentially pretty taste profile with tart fruit flavors, redcurrant, tea leaf, heritage rose, crushed white pepper, licorice, nutmeg, clove and chopped mint. It opens slowly to reveal more richness and exuberance with time, becoming dow...

100 points Decanter: "Beautifully rich even on the nose, this makes you smile from the first moment. On the palate things are intense and concentrated, as you might expect with an 11hl/ha yield (mildew-related). Upfront flavours major on big bitter chocolate with touches of smoke and grilled cedar, lots of savoury fruits and touches of reduction. Extremely impressive how layered and textured it is, though it really needs decades to reveal itself.
