Heiwa Shuzou "Tsuru-Ume" Suppai Plum Wakayama Sake (720ml)

This plum sake is great! Nice and sweet for a dessert style wine balanced by an incredible acidity. I go to sushi restaurants where plum wine is an option, and I've always been so curious to try it. I'm so happy I did! You definitely get a lot of plum character from this of course, but there are other factors such as a fine minerality and honeydew sweetness. I'd be curious to try this as a sweetener in a cocktail.

This deep ruby wine opens with a nose of bing cherries, fresh cut grass, and cranberries. It has a medium-fuller body and has a lasting finish of cherries and vanilla.
