2017 Kalinda Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Review Date: 08-27-2018
I recently had the pleasure of tasting the 2017 Kalinda Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and I was simply stunned at the quality of this wine. It is light in color with a beautifully nuanced nose. Restrained and elegant on the palate with a lovely minerality, this is an absolute steal at this price! This Pinot Noir hails from a very well respected Sonoma Coast producer of which I am sworn to secrecy. Their Pinots sell for far above this price. This would be an excellent pairing with roast duck, grilled chicken, and Thanksgiving fare.

2016 Hartford Court Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Review Date: 07-27-2018
The 2016 Hartford Court Russian River Valley Chardonnay is an outstanding value offering notes of citrus, kiwi and subtle spice on the nose. On the palate, the wine is round with subtle oak in the background and a bright acid backbone displaying flavors of baked apple with a lovely minerality. Quite elegant with a lot of flavor to offer.

2016 Cantina Valle Isarco "Aristos" Pinot Grigio
Review Date: 06-05-2018
This elegant Pinot Grigio hails from the newest cooperative in Alto Adige. The nose presents delicate and pretty aromatics with hints of pear, citrus, and florals. Full and round on the palate with a clean minerality. Long finish. Very well made. Wonderful! One of the best Pinot Grigios I've ever tasted!

An elegant soft nose consisting of plumb and allspice. On the palate the wine is balanced and quite smooth with fine tannins and gentle use of oak. Lovely juicy mid-palate. Eminently drinkable and absolutely delicious! A very good value!

2015 Laventura "Lanave" Rioja
Review Date: 03-06-2018
A simply delicious new expression of Rioja! Consisting of equal parts Grenache and Tempranillo, this wine offers beautiful aromas of cherry, blackberries along with hints of strawberry. It follows on the palate with soft, balanced tannins and a lively bright minerality. Medium body. The oak is there, but instead of being in the forefront it is well integrated into the structure. Very well made! A tasty value!

An outstanding value in Bordeaux from an outstanding vintage. Elegant black and red fruit on the nose rounded off with notes of forest floor, tar and subtle oak with a layer of minerality. Drink now or cellar for a few years.

2016 Höfer Grüner Veltliner (1L)

A lightly floral nose followed by notes of green apples, white pepper and lemon zest are the hallmarks of this crisp easy drinking Gruner. A lively acidity rounds out the package. Delicious by itself or paired with light appetizers. Certified organic.
