2016 Maison Henri Boillot Bourgogne Blanc
Review Date: 05-31-2018
Sourced from Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint Romain and Auxey-Duresses, this Bourgogne Blanc drinks clean and refreshing. Exuding expressions of lemon blossom and peach, the wine has a distinctly weighted creamy texture. On the palate, layers of stonefruit, zippy acidity and a lovely mineral-driven finish make this an amazing pick for Summer dinner parties this season. Recommended!

2016 Lucien Lardy "Côte du Py" Morgon
Review Date: 04-23-2018
Full-bodied with power and grace, this Morgon is ripe with dark cherry and plum-like fruit. The mouth-watering acidity and satisfying layers of minerality and spice make this my new go-to for a picnic charcuterie. The wine drinks lovely now, but will only grow more interesting in the next few years. At this price, drink some now and later!

2015 Lucien Lardy "Les Chenes" Fleurie
Review Date: 04-23-2018
Fans of regional and village Burgundy should really take note of the Lucien Lardy wines as these Cru Beaujolais truly resemble characteristics of good Burgundian Pinot Noir. The most voluptuous of the lot is the Fleurie Les Chenes. Showing soft, pure, red fruit flavors threaded with granite and earth. This is elegant, juicy and easy drinking. Put a slight chill on this and enjoy!

2016 Lucien Lardy "Les Thorins" Moulin-à-Vent
Review Date: 04-23-2018
King of the Cru's for only $16.99? Wow, this is an incredibly priced Moulin a Vent! Dark fruited and playfully seductive, this wine shows all the classic hallmarks. The wine is dark garnet in color with a nose infused with aromas of violet, spice and ripe black cherry. The wine drinks silky smooth and shows granite-like minerality on the finish. Lovely stuff, and perfect for Spring/Summer!

2016 Chateau Vitallis Macon-Fuissé
Review Date: 02-21-2018
Scented with a touch of flora and honey, this super bargain Macon Fuisse is one of my go-to Chardonnays for its value, complexity, and versatility. On the palate, the wine has lovely viscosity with notes of oak spice and yellow grapefruit. Overall, it's a well-made, perky wine perfect for any day of the week dinner.

2015 Zorzal "Eggo -Tinto de Tiza" Mendoza
Review Date: 08-02-2017
Black mountain fruit reigns supreme here, with an interesting hint of violet. Expressive, round and inviting, this wine was a total standout in a recent line-up of malbec's that KL staffers tasted through. Holding it's volume and weight extremely well, this wine delivers a robust yet fresh intensity that is pure and delicious. Make this your next BBQ pick! Super Recommended.

2014 Thibault Liger-Belair Bourgogne "Les Deux Terres"
Review Date: 04-19-2017
Drinking supremely fresh and inviting is the "Les Deux Terres" or "the two lands" which is a perky and delicious blend of 75% Cru Beaujolais and 25% Bourgogne rouge. With notes of black cherry and clove spice, the entry displays bright ripe red fruits, but has enough structure and layers to please even the most skeptical Gamay drinker. A super pick for your next picnic!

Capurro Estate Grown Single Vintage Quebranta Premium Pisco (750ml)
Review Date: 10-05-2015
Taste the terroir of Peru with this single varietal Quebranta, one of the strongest yet non-aromatic of the 8 designated varietals that can be used to make pisco. What quebranta lacks in aroma more than makes up for with rich, texture and complex flavors of sweet fried plantains, almonds and pepper. The full body of this spirit makes it a great emulsifier and perfect for making Pisco Sours, or it would work just fine alone as a soothing, slow tropical sipper.

Capurro Estate Grown Single Vintage Torontel Premium Pisco (750ml)
Review Date: 10-05-2015
From the organic and sustainable vineyards of Peru, here is a single varietal expression of Torrontes called Torontel with pronounced aromatics of jasmine, citrus, and fresh herbs. This is the most feminine of the trio of 2012 single varietals. Clean on the entry, the mouthfeel is pure and fresh with a slight pepper bite and develops a hint of sweetness on the long, round finish. This is a perfect candidate for a pisco punch cocktail or to sip alone.

Cut Spike Nebraska Single Malt Whiskey (750ml)
Review Date: 07-17-2015
Now this is a whiskey to get excited about. The sensation of flavor is an American hybrid marrying qualities of bourbon and Scotch. This sits in the glass with deep hues of burnt orange. The nose on this whiskey is totally delicious with fruity notes of tangerine, freshly cut fennel, and dried apple. The mid-palate is clean, soft and delivers characteristics reminiscent of cream soda, all culminating in a spiced, toasty rich finish. Get a bottle while they last!

No one's going to burst your bubble here. If you have Champagne taste on a shoestring budget, this might be the perfect antidote. With a killer price point, fun flavors of strawberry-orange, and a tart lively finish this bottle is an amazing value and super versatile. This would be the perfect choice to accompany a bucket of fried chicken, bring to a pancake brunch or just sip while binge watching Orange is the New Black.

Rare Wine Company Historic Series "New York" Malmsey Madeira
Review Date: 03-23-2015
Here's an absolutely delicious treat and a lovely example of a classic sweet Madeira made from the Malvasia grape. Rich in color and luscious in body with notes of toasted hazelnuts, toffee and dates. This would make an excellent pairing with any nutty dessert.
