2015 Alexandre Le Brun "Cuvée Fascination" Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne

Alex (the winemaker) and I have some fun history. And it almost makes me mad how good his wines are! He sells a lot of his fruit, but what he makes himself is spectacular! I wrote down: pancake batter, lemon zest, hazelnuts. An extremely long finish and great acidity! Really a must for any champagne lover!

Ariston Aspasie "Réserve" Brut Champagne

As we hunker down this holiday season - why not treat every evening as a "small victory" with a glass of champagne? The Aspasie Reserve is substantial enough to enjoy by itself and has plenty of acidity to be food friendly. You deserve it!

Petit & Bajan Nuit Blanche Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne

When two people come together, each owning prime vineyards in Avize and Verzenay, good things happen! The Petit and Bajan Blanc de Blanc is a 100% chardonnay beauty - full and expressive featuring citrus, white flowers and silky texture from extra time on the lees. A surprisingly low dosage keeps things fresh. This was a special find and I'm not sure if we will have it again - so grab some while you can!
2004 Laurent-Perrier "Cuvée Alexandra" Brut Rosé Champagne

After a massive champagne tasting this week, with too many great wines to count- one of our behind-the-scenes "Operations Heroes" had the good sense to sneak the remains of this bottle home for his dinner. He has good taste! This wine was an all around favorite, with so much savory goodness and pedigree. Definitely a special occasion splurge, but it will not disappoint!

The bag-in-a-box has risen again! Cast your shame aside, and just enjoy the wine. Having a fresh and friendly Italian white in your fridge for the summer is pure joy. And having 3 liters of it in an air-tight container is even better. Many of us at K&L are huge fans of the Blason wines - and I am so excited to have this format back in stock.

Rittenhouse Bottled in Bond 100 Proof Kentucky Rye Whiskey (750ml)

Adding a couple of ice cubes to this 100 proof spirit really tames the beast, bringing out the sweetness and rye-bread aromatics. A wonderful digestif after dinner - with a very reasonable price tag.

Ariston Aspasie Brut Rosé Champagne

It blows my mind. $32.99, really? Small production grower rose champagne, aged on the lees for 5 years?? Are you sure, only $32.99? Beautiful to behold with its tawny pink color - and a joy to consume with layers of flavor and aroma. Enjoy alongside baked ham, herbed quiche - or even smoked almonds as an afternoon treat!

Fun fact about Ariston: their winemaker Paul-Vincent uses the best juice from his younger vines for the Vintage champagne...and the best juice from his older vines for the'Aspasie'! I popped a bottle last night and was instantly transported to Brouillet. Mature old vine flavor, dry and classy! Drink it cool but not ice-cold to capture all the flavors...
