2016 Domaine Thierry et Pascale Matrot St-Romain Blanc
Review Date: 07-23-2020
For less than most producers entry-level Bourgogne Blanc the 2016 Matrot St. Romain is a stunning deal. At half-off this beauty is everything one could want in an everyday white, there's a ton of fresh orchard fruits, good richness and ample acidity and structure. The wine is complex with a purity and freshness that nicely buffers the wines's beautiful fruit notes as well as subtle oak nuances. A wine that us a few steps up qualitatively from a Bourgogne Blanc but a big step down in price.

2015 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "Piedlong" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Review Date: 06-23-2020
This wine has the most amazing nose! Aromas of licorice, marzipan, Asian spice and subtle red fruit notes slowly rise from the glass. The palate is definitely old-world with flavors of blood orange, fennel, beef bouillon and exotic spice notes. Sinewy with sexy tannins this multi-layered beauty is already showing secondary complexity in a ready to drink package. This wine is straight out-delicious and perfect for the wine enthusiast looking for an old-world Chateauneuf!

2018 Domaine Faiveley Mercurey 1er Cru "Clos des Myglands"
Review Date: 06-23-2020
The next great value in red Burgundy is here!! The 2018 Faiveley Mercurey 1er Cru "Myglands" is an amazing value that literally screams from the glass you need to buy me-you won't be sorry. Wave after wave of luscious red cherry fruit deftly mingles with crisp mineral notes, firm acidity and suave tannins. A gorgeous example of what the 2018 Burgundy vintage has to offer this ready-to-drink red is a beautiful example of the heights Mercurey can reach from a top vineyard in a strong vintage. If you have had previous vintages of the Faiveley Mercruey 1er Cru "Myglands" you owe it to yourself to grab this beauty before it sells out.

2017 Joseph Drouhin Côte de Beaune Villages
Review Date: 01-14-2020
I have long been an admirer of the wines of Joseph Drouhin. They have always been elegantly structured, with beautiful fruit—never tart or overbearing. The 2017s from Joseph Drouhin are an exciting set of wines. They provide ample value, too, from entry-level reds to expressive village-level whites. Located in the heart of the town of Beaune, Joseph Drouhin has a winemaking history that dates back to 1880. Like many négociant houses, they both own vineyards as well as contract fruit. But their adherence to excellence shows through in every wine they produce, whether at the domaine or négociant level. And this wine clearly demonstrates what the Côte de Beaune is all about. Meatier than the Côte de Nuits, with a touch more earth and darker fruit flavors, this is a robust red that slowly unfurls on the palate.

2017 Jacques Bavard Auxey-Duresses Rouge
Review Date: 01-14-2020
One of Burgundy’s hottest and most up-and-coming regions for values, Auxey-Duresses is known for being able to produce reds of impressive depth and character without breaking the bank—and the 2017 Jacques Bavard Auxey-Duresses Rouge is no exception. This wine has an abundance of black fruits, black tea, red apple, and fresh cherry flavors. The palate unwinds to reveal complex notes of fruit, coffee, and cola. This is a beautiful red that offers a deeper experience than the Bourgogne Rouge. If you’re looking for value in Burgundy, then Auxey-Duresses is the place you should be.

2018 Clos de la Roilette Fleurie "Cuvée Tardive"
Review Date: 10-18-2019
For the very first sniff of the glass you know this is something special! Crushed geranium, Asian spice, licorice and macerated cherry aromas spring from the glass. The palate is rich and velvety with floral and spice notes as well as intense berry fruit. This complex and powerful red is a fantastic wine and is a great example of what height Beaujolais can reach.

2005 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Review Date: 09-08-2017
The 2005 Lynch Bages Pauillac is exactly what you want from one of Bordeaux's premier properties. 2005 was a fantastic vintage in Bordeaux and the 2005 Lynch Bages is a monumental wine. Blood red in color with spice and scorched earth notes the palate slowly unwinds to savory berry fruit notes and fine, smooth tannins. Notes of black licorice and mocha complete the long, smooth finish. This is a classic Lynch Bages in every sense.
Drink from 2017 to 2017

2009 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (1.5L)

Tart blackberry fruit with a touch of spice and good acidity. Bright and fresh.

2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (1.5L)
Review Date: 02-11-2013
A must buy! Wild berries, laser beam fruit, good tension and verve, with a long finish. If you can't afford the First Growths or Super Seconds, try this.

2010 La Mission Haut-Brion Rouge, Pessac-Léognan
Review Date: 05-13-2011
Elegant, sexy and suave, with mashed raspberry fruit and milk chocolate nuances.
