2022 Robert Goulley Bourgogne Blanc
Review Date: 10-05-2023
Robert Goulley is a label made by Domaine Gueguen in Chablis. This is the exact same juice bottles under Domaine Gueguen just relabeled for us so that you can save money. The 2022 Robert Goulley Bourgogne Blanc comes from grapes sourced in and around greater Chablis which gives this wine a refreshing, green-apple tinged pallet with notes of wet stone, flint and crushed oyster shells. There is wonderful energy and lift present as well as zippy acidity that gives the wine an almost lip-smacking feel. A brilliant Bourgogne Blanc with a Chablis pedigree.

2022 Domaine Gérard Tremblay Chablis 1er Cru "Fourchaume"
Review Date: 09-14-2023
Welcome to the 2022 Chablis vintage which looks to be outstanding based upon early reports and how fabulously the 2022 Domaine Gerard Tremblay Chablis 1er Cru "Fourchaume" is showing. The Fourchaume vineyard is located a stone throw's away from the Grand Crus and offers along with Montee de Tonnerre the best value amongst the 1er Crus. Citrus notes infused with hints of sea breeze and green herbs gives way to a palate full of beautiful citrus and orchard fruits infused palate with a salty mineral finish. This wine is perfectly balanced with wonderful energy and verve. It is hard to believe a wine of this quality from a top 1er Cru vineyard can be had for under $30!!!

2022 Domaine Gérard Tremblay Petit Chablis
Review Date: 08-16-2023
I was excited to taste this wine while I was in Chablis in early May and it did not disappoint. A great preview of the upcoming 2022 Chablis vintage this tasty Petit Chablis really showcases what has made Chablis such a popular wine. Pristine notes of wet stone, seashells and citrus zest lead into an energetic palate of salty sea spray, zesty citrus notes and crisp tannins and a racy, complex finish. This is a flat-out delicious Petit Chablis that is a killer value at less than $20. Be sure to snatch up some bottles before they inevitably sell out.

2021 Domaine des Niales Rhedon-Marin Mâcon-Villages Vieilles Vignes
Review Date: 08-16-2023
This is our "Inflation-Buster White" right here!! The price of everything seems to be going up except Domaine des Niales Rhedon Marin Macon Villages Vieilles Vignes. Thanks to our long relationship with Domaine Niales we are able to still offer this amazing wine for less than $15. Loaded with beautiful aromas of citrus and orchard fruits with a hint of menthol and dried herbs this racy, fruit-laden white is a great example of a tasty everyday white Burgundy that way over-delivers in both fruit and structure and allows you to scratch that Burgundian white itch on a daily basis without breaking the bank! Stock up on this Inflation-buster for those warm Indian Summer Nights.

Easily one of the best values I have come across in a long time in white Burgundy the 2022 Domaine Renaud Macon Solutre is a "Baby Pouilly-Fuisse" sourced from the small commune of Solutre that lies in the appellation Pouilly-Fuisse. Beautiful aromas of white flowers, green fig and wet stone seamless mingle with a palate flush with orchard and stone fruit flavors with hints of mineral and racy acidity. Wonderful balance and impressive complexity are present here with a long lingering finish. This is a great daily-drinking white Burgundy that totally delivers for less than $20.

2021 Allram "Heiligenstein" Riesling Kamptal
Review Date: 06-20-2023
The Heiligenstein Riesling is always my favorite and the 2021 vintage may be the greatest wine Allram has made-to-date. This wine has everything in spades, intoxicating aromas, fantastic acidity, impressive balance, a wealth of complexity and a long, long finish. The fruit oscillates from orchard to citrus with a rush of lime notes accompanying the mouth-filling finish. This is a Riesling that can stand with the top Rieslings from both Germany & Alsace.

2021 Allram "Ried Gaisberg" Grüner Veltliner Kamptal
Review Date: 06-20-2023
Aromas burst from the glass of white flowers and stone fruits that give way to an energetic palate loaded with orchard fruits, subtle spice and a wonderfully-textured palate with an oily feel and impressive length. The finish here is long and echoes notes of pear, nectarine and apple flavors. A brilliant Gruner Veltliner that blows away similarly priced wines in its category.

Review Date: 05-16-2023
The Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Aux Serpentieres" is a wonderful example of the heights that the 2021 red Burgundy vintage has achieved. The energy and lift of this wine is spectacular with wonderful red fruits, spice and bitter chocolate notes singing across a smooth, lush finish where the tannins are perfectly integrated with racy acidity and excellent verve and energy. A great example of what can be achieved in the challenging yet rewarding 2021 Burgundian vintage.

2021 Domaine Marcel Lapierre Morgon
Review Date: 03-09-2023
A return to classicism! The 2021 Domaine Marcel Lapierre Morgon is reminiscent of vintages like 2012, 2013 & 2014 respectively whereas the wine was lower in alcohol content and had a much more earthy and wild feel to it. There is still a ton of fresh berry fruit and wonderful acidity and balance but this vintage has that old-school earthy, mineral-driven with a tad bit of funk that makes Beaujolais so much fun and was a hallmark of these bio-dynamic Beaujolais producers. A wonderful food wine that can easily pair with game and fowl.

2020 Chateau de Beauregard Pouilly Fuisse 1er Cru "La Marechaude"
Review Date: 02-26-2023
"La Marechaude" means Hot tide which is apt since this is one fo the warmer vineyard sites in a cooler area of Pouilly Fuisse. La Marechaude is known for producing fine, powerful wines and that is exactly what we have in the 2020 Chateau de Beauregard Pouilly Fuisse 1er Cru "La Marechaude". Spicy and floral on the nose with a palate loaded with spice, pithy notes as well as wet stone and orchard and stone fruit flavors. This feels very Meursault-like in feel and structure with excellent depth and power.

Pierre Sparr Brut Rosé Crémant d'Alsace
Review Date: 10-15-2020
Love everything about Rose Champagne except the price? I have the perfect solution for you, drink Pierre Sparr Cremant d'Alsace Brut Rose which at more than 50% off most Roses from Champagne gives you an almost identical experience. Sour cherry, spice, red licorice and subtle red flower aromas greet you on the nose while the palate is fresh and bright with cherry, red licorice and spice notes all intertwined perfectly against a brisk backdrop of acidity and verve. Surprisingly complex and full-bodied this a wonderful Rose that you can afford to drink more often.

2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac

A must buy! Wild berries, laser beam fruit, good tension and verve, with a long finish. If you can't afford the First Growths or Super Seconds, try this.

2010 Domaine de Chevalier Rouge, Pessac-Léognan

2010 Langoa-Barton, St-Julien

A more feminine wine than the Léoville-Barton, with super bright, crunchy cherry fruit. Very fresh and long.

2009 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Review Date: 03-07-2012
Gigantic. Bursting at the seams with fruit, along with rich oak and tannins. The wine still manages to be remarkably balanced.

2010 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Review Date: 05-16-2011
Very restrained and closed right now on the nose, but showing darker fruits on the palate.

2010 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan
Review Date: 05-13-2011
A must buy! After the duo from Haut-Brion, Haut-Bailly may be the top performer in Pessac, producing wines with a very singular feel. Layers of supple red fruit intermingle with sandalwood accents from oak barrels.
