2009 ZD California Chardonnay

I don't generally like CA chards but this one was different. A hint of oak, medium to full bodied, yet light on its feet. A great price too. Would go with food or on its own.

2005 Schweiger Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District

I don't know what wine Alex was drinking but I agree with the other reviewer's comment. This wine had nothing when first opened. Completely closed and astringent. After about 90 minutes of decanting, it opened up a BIT to reveal some dark fruit but it's nothing to rave about. Structured yes but not much else. Very disappointing. Not just the wine but the glowing review from Alex.

2008 Sean Minor "Four Bears" Carneros Pinot Noir

This Pinot has nice structure to it and one certainly can't complain about the price but it will appeal more to people who like their wines on the sweet side. Soft with cherry and plum favors. Drink now.
