2005 Celler de Capcanes "Mas Donis" Barrica Montsant

This wine was good enough that I added a detour to Montsant on my recent visit to Spain. It turns out it's a special release, targeted specifically at American wine drinkers, but is still relatively representative of the region. I'd recommend it.
2007 Viñedos de Ithaca "Akyles" Priorat

Concentrated, fruity flavor with some dried strawberry and enough tannins and acidity to give it a good balance. Unusually pretty dark red color.
2007 Perrin & Fils "Reserve" Côtes du Rhône

Great fruity nose, sweeter dark fruit flavor up front with an earthy and tannic finish. Better the second day, I think.. For the price, I can see why this is so popular.
