2009 Mercedes Eguren Cabernet Sauvignon Vino de la Tierra de Castilla

At first this wine seemed a bit hard and astringent, definitely lots of tannins, and the nose was just OK. However, I found this wine to really open up after a couple of hours into a full fledged cab, the kind you don't really get for $10: very balanced with a complex nose. In fact, I think it was even better when I drank the second half the next night.
