2011 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc (1.5L)
Review Date: 4-15-2014
Great balance, sweet fruit, almost jammy plum and red fruits; minerals, lots of spice. Polished.

2011 Margaux, Margaux
Review Date: 2-25-2014
Sweet mocha upfront and fleshy fruit, seamless in the middle with a long finish. Lush, sweet and rich. From a very small crop. This is very approachable young. The tannins are silky, but the wine is quite serious. May be my favorite of the vintage.

2011 Doisy-Védrines, Sauternes (375ml) Pre-Arrival
Review Date: 2-24-2014
Very sweet and juicy, with bright acidity. Rich but fresh.

2011 Doisy-Védrines, Sauternes Pre-Arrival
Review Date: 2-24-2014
Very sweet and juicy, with bright acidity. Rich but fresh.

2011 Alter Ego de Palmer, Margaux (1.5L)
Review Date: 2-17-2014
Chewy blueberry fruit, spice and cola. Bright and fresh but very firm and tannic. A pretty serious wine for a second label.

2011 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (1.5L)
Review Date: 2-17-2014
Inky color, dark and toasty nose. This is very concentrated and layered, with tons of vanilla and spice. Definitely in a flashy style, but I like it. 90-92 points.

2011 Potensac, Médoc
Review Date: 1-20-2014
A bit firm and tannic. A rustic style.

2010 Etude "Estate Grown" Carneros Chardonnay
Review Date: 1-17-2014
A great buy for under $25 for a Chardonnay that is sure to please most palates! This wine is rich and creamy in the mouth with hints of white peach, melon and slight touches of citrus in the finish. It is a richer style of Chardonnay without being heavy and flabby.

2011 Poujeaux, Moulis
Review Date: 1-7-2014
Dark and chewy, with plenty of sweet fruit, cocoa and graphite in this mineral-driven wine. Good balance and fresh, ripe tannins.

2011 Beychevelle, St-Julien
Review Date: 1-7-2014
Perfumy nose, good spice, surprisingly sweet, with a soft, smooth finish. Fleshy mid-palate. A bit light but good.

2009 Rosenblum "Harris Kratka Vineyard" Alexander Valley Zinfandel
Review Date: 12-24-2013
An absolute steal! Harris Kratka Vineyard has been the flagship Zinfandel of the Rosenblum lineup for years. Recent distributor changes have allowed us to practically give this normally $40 wine away for under $13! Actually a blend of 80% Zinfandel 10% Carignane and 10% Petite Sirah, this wine is loaded with spicy berry fruit, black pepper, coco powder and cloves. It is full bodied but still well balanced. This is as big of a Zin as you can get for the price!

2010 Fonplégade, St-Emilion (1.5L)
Review Date: 12-12-2013
Plummy aromas and dense fruit. One for the cellar.

2010 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux
Review Date: 12-12-2013
Another seamless wine that shows lush black cherries, mocha and spice. The wine is velvety on the mid-palate with silky tannins.

2010 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Review Date: 12-12-2013
One of my favorite Lynch-Bages in years. Lots of minerals, slate and velvety currants on the palate, with a firm backbone. Should age well.

2010 Lanessan, Haut-Médoc
Review Date: 12-12-2013
Juicy, ripe aromas of red cherries and spice. Focused and balanced with hints of minerals and slate.
