1983 Doisy Daene, Barsac

SKU #999287 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Doisy-Daene finished its harvest 1 month after d’Yquem, and has possibly produced this property's finest wine in over two decades. A big, ripe bouquet of pineapples, peaches, and spring flowers is very attractive. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, full bodied, and unctuous, without being too heavy or alcoholic. Excellent acidity suggests a long, eventful evolution. (RP) (3/1990)

Wine Spectator

A pleasant drink and there's even some complexity...Light gold, waxy and sulfury on the nose, sugary sweet, oak, honey, pear, apricot on the palate. (1/1998)
