SKU #650017 94 points Wine Enthusiast

Light and complex, this gin, made by Cognac producer Maison Ferrand, has a restrained lemon peel aroma and gently sweet palate accented by citrus, coriander and cardamom. The finish is markedly soft and bright, with just a hint of sweetness. (KN) (8/2016)

K&L Notes

Citadelle Gin from France is filled with 19 different botanicals from all over the world. It is distilled four times and filled to the brim with flavor, this gin is clean, smooth and very refreshing. From the Beverage Testing Institute: "91 points. Layered aromas of honeyed juniper, citrus jelly, delicate herb muffin, and root botanicals with silky, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a nicely balanced pepper, chalk, floral honeycomb, and grassy herb driven finish. Well crafted, rock solid, and very pliable." (07/2012)

For "London Dry" gin lovers this is close to the pinnacle. Subtle botanicals. Complex. Smooth without being cloying. Clean finish. If you like Plymouth or Blue (Austria) you will love this equally.
