Calwise Blonde Rum (750ml)

SKU #1341402

From the distillery: Say goodbye to boring old white rum and hello to our new unique creation- Blonde Rum. It’s fermented from US-grown raw sugar cane and rested in chardonnay barrels. It’s versatile like white rum, but has more complexity and depth. This is a rum as bright as the sun and as crisp as an ocean breeze. We bottled a day at the beach- but with a little less burn and we left out the sand.

It is so refreshing to taste something that is actually made by the people selling it, not just a label slapped on someone else's work. Better yet, it's great to drink something in the craft spirits world that I actually want to drink cause it tastes good. I was pumped when Calwise spirits found its way into my glass. The blonde rum is pot distilled rum from Louisiana sugar cane. This is a perfect starter rum if you're interested in the funky fruity esters that make rums like Hampden prized all over the world, but you're not ready to drive in deep into the world of funk. The blonde rum has just a hint of that funkiness. It's a little floral, it's loaded with pineapple, boasts an agave fruit sweetness and gets mellowed in California Chardonnay barrels to round it out with a creamy palate. Super fun for cocktails and sipping alike.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.

California

- With the explosive growth that California's wine industry has seen the past several years, it's easy to view winemaking and grape growing in the Golden State as a recent phenomenon. And while it's true that California's viticultural history is brief compared to several European countries, this state's roots date back well over 200 years. Due to the enormous response to California wine within the United States and worldwide, there are thousands of excellent and diverse wines being produced within the state each year.
