Another outstanding wine from this certified organic producer. The Bleu Velours (blue velvet) delivers an elegant floral aromatics, with blackberries, and black pepper. The tannins are indeed very velvety-like which makes this wine a pleasure to drink on its own but I'm thinking about pairing it with a vegetarian/vegan dinner party coming up...

The aromatics of this hearty wine are a complex swirl of cured meat, fresh game, violets and copious amounts of blue and black fruits. The middle is deep, brambly, very earthy and shows the dazzling richness and warmth of the 2015 vintage. The ripeness of the fruit and richness of the body are held in check by wonderfully firm tannins that allow for a dry finish.

Country:

France

- When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them.
