2016 Caravaglio Malvasia di Salina Bianco Secco Sicilia

SKU #1321437 91 points Vinous

Bright straw-yellow. Apricot, aromatic herbs and white flowers on the nose. Juicy, spicy and nicely delineated; not a fleshy wine but very clean and classically dry, with bright citrus, ginger and macerated sage and rosemary flavors. Finishes long and saline with a persistent, fresh lemon-limey character. Lots of flavor and only 12.5% alcohol; this is a blend of roughly 90% Malvasia di Lipari and 10% Corinto Nero. (ID) (9/2017)
