2014 Segonzac Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Vieilles Vignes

SKU #1312824 Wine Enthusiast

From a estate in the Marmet family since 1990, the wine has ripe Merlot flavors that give a generous character. Big, bold fruitiness dominates this wine whose structure is firm while smooth. Drink starting from 2019. (RV) (12/2016)

K&L Notes

The folks at Chateau Segonzac are sticklers for quality. They hand-harvest the fruit from the “old vines” and all the grapes are hand-sorted once they get to the winery. Where other wineries may have made light wines, the careful selection process at Segonzac helps to create concentrated, full flavored wines. The bright lush fruit is balanced with plenty of ripe tannins. Enjoy the Segonzac with a classic steak Dianne.
