2016 Domaine la Croix Belle "Caringole" Côtes de Thongue Rouge

SKU #1306654

Just outside the city of Montpellier lie the vineyards of La Croix Belle, a family owned and operated Domaine that traces it roots back to the region more than two centuries. Francoise and Jacques Boyer assumed contril of the property in the late 70s with an eye towards making clean expressive wines reflecting the region. A lot of replanting was done, yields were lowered and modern winemaking techniques and facilities were adopted. This eye for detail had delivered us some of the freshest and most compelling values of the season. The Caringole is a blend of Syrah (65%), Merlot (20%) and Carignan (15%) that is brought up in stainless steel tank. It is a vibrant red with fresh berry notes and a delicious lively palate.

Stunning! This is such an impressive wine for this price point. Packed with plenty of black and red fruits, nicely integrated tannins and acidity that balances, there is incredible structure and complexity in this bottle for only $9! Give this a little air and see how beautifully it opens up. Wow!
