Four Roses "K&L Exclusive" Single Barrel OESV (Aged 10 Years 2 Months) Cask Strength Kentucky Bourbon (750ml)

SKU #1300118

Another set of excellent single barrels from Four Roses is here and already selling out. These two casks were hold overs from our last visit, which thanks to the bottle neck at the single barrel bottling line cracked that magic 10 year old threshold. Of course, age isn't everything and these were delicious back when we tried them at 9.5 years old, but we're happy that they made it over the mark because it's simply going to be impossible to continue supplying the market with anything over 10 years from Four Roses. Regardless of the age these whiskies are absolutely stunning. Now that we can't have as much as we want it makes our job that much harder. Choosing the best barrel among a plethora of great casks isn't all that easy, but we're committed to doing the work. This excellent cask was one of the smallest we've had in a long time. Only 108 bottles to go around.

This wonderful OESV has so much going on. We've got a nose of pure apricot, fresh bananas, slight cacao and wonderful woodsy exotic wood. On the palate its soft and clean style and totally doesn't show the proof at all. Delicate caramel, toffee, candied citrus and a handful of walnuts. The tannin on the end is smooth and quite long. An absolute dream for people that like them easy going, but don't mess around.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
