Pérez Barquero "1955 Solera Cinquentenario" Amontillado Montilla-Moriles (Previously $200)

SKU #1284570 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

This is a new 2017 bottling of Barquero's impressive NV 1955 Amontillado Solera Cincuentenario, which is clearly specified in the bottom left corner of the front label. But this is not wine from 1955--which is rather confusing. It's powerful, complex and nice, with signs of very old age (rusty nails, low tide) and a very pungent, intense palate with saline and marine flavors over the nutty notes. This is truly outstanding, in line with previous bottlings. 250 bottles were filled in February 2017. (LG) (12/2017)
