Paul Jones & Co., Louisville, Kentucky, pre 1919, heavily embossed bottle, lead capsule partly torn away, driven cork, u: top shoulder, no proof stated. This famous brand was started by Paul Jones who purchased J G Mattingly & Co. in 1889 and used the Louisville facility to produce Four Roses Bourbon under the Paul Jones Distillery label. This famous bottle is one of a kind and was likely the highest quality offering from the distillery during the pre-prohibition time period.
