2015 Wirsching "Estate" Silvaner Trocken Franken

SKU #1274182

The Wirsching family has been producing wine in this region since 1630. Home to Wirsching is the village of Iphofen, one of the most famous in Franconia and one which produces wines of unsurpassed regional quality from the steeply sloping vineyards. Today, Dr. Heinrich Wirsching serves as owner/proprietor of the estate and carries his family winemaking tradition of nearly 400 years. While the noble yet under-appreciated Silvaner is the estate's traditional focus, Wirsching also produces fine examples of Riesling and Scheurebe. The wines have a fine mineral character, along with layers of fruit, spice, and uncommon depth.
