1997 Tenuta del Terriccio "Tassinaia" Toscana

SKU #1265961 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Solid ruby, slightly lighter at the rim. Wild cherry on the nose, along with blackberry and minerals and a suggestion of alcohol (reflecting the heat of September). Good substance and texture on the palate; warm flavor dominated by blackberry. (DT) (7/2000)

Wine Spectator

A big and chewy wine that needs time. A bit rustic, it tastes a bit like Zinfandel, with very ripe berry and a hint of game and spice. Full-bodied and peppery, with a long, velvety, tannic aftertaste. (11/1999)
