2015 Domaine Lafage "Miraflors" Côtes du Roussillon Rosé
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Miraflors Rose offers lots of framboise, strawberry and rose petal characteristics in medium-bodied, juicy, gorgeously quaffable style. This is prime hot summer day stuff that will hit the spot over the coming six months. I’ve raved time and time again about the quality - and value - coming from Domaine Lafage’s Jean-Marc Lafage. A large estate that pulls from vines in the Agly Valley, the Aspres region, and vines around the estate and close the Mediterranean Sea, they’ve just completed work on a new, state of the art winery and cellar. I can only imagine the quality will continue to soar at this estate. (JD)
Located just outside the city of Perpignan, Jean Marc Lafage is producing some of the greatest cost to quality values in the whole south of France. The Miralfors is a blend of 70% Mourvedre and 30% Grenache Gris. It is fresh and complex with lots of strawberry, floral notes and mineral tones.
