2015 Domaine Lafage "Miraflors" Côtes du Roussillon Rosé

SKU #1261760 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Miraflors Rose offers lots of framboise, strawberry and rose petal characteristics in medium-bodied, juicy, gorgeously quaffable style. This is prime hot summer day stuff that will hit the spot over the coming six months. I’ve raved time and time again about the quality - and value - coming from Domaine Lafage’s Jean-Marc Lafage. A large estate that pulls from vines in the Agly Valley, the Aspres region, and vines around the estate and close the Mediterranean Sea, they’ve just completed work on a new, state of the art winery and cellar. I can only imagine the quality will continue to soar at this estate. (JD) (4/2016)

Considering the high quality of the Lafage red wines it's no surprise just how good the Roussillon rose is. This top rate 2015, offers a delicious mélange of red berries and currants and a lively freshness and zip across the palate. There's also an unmistakable minerality that so many of our customers seek out. Impressive rose.

The "Miraflors" is always a symbol of the great value that Roussillon as a region and Lafage as a producer has to offer. Racy red currants lead off, followed by flavors of strawberries, blood oranges and white peaches. The intensity and minerality erupt from the glass. The Miraflors is expressive, focused and balanced. Definitely a top rose wine this year!
