2012 La Péira "Deusyls de la Péira" Pays d'Herault Blanc (Previously $27)

SKU #1261550 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Tasted out of bottle, the 2012 Deusyls de La Peira Blanc is a blend of Roussanne, Viognier and Marsanne that was fermented in concrete and aged in small barrels. Medium-bodied, pure, layered and elegant, with fabulous citrus blossom, white flowers, vanilla, creme and assorted toasty nuances, it’s a smoking white that deserves a classy meal. (JD) (4/2014)

La Peira Deusyls is a glowing example of the high-quality whites coming from the Pays D'Heurault. On the nose it has a sweet Chenin-like quality combined with a rich nutty - almost yeasty attribute. On the palate it carries great weight while retaining a vibrant and refreshing angle. This is one of the best whites I've tasted this summer!
