Park 15 Year Old "Lot 15" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel #289 Cask Strength Fins Bois Cognac (750ml)

SKU #1256418

The Tessendier Family is BACK with another set of incredible single casks selected from their revered Cellar No 8. Only the very finest and most elegant eau-de-vie are aged in this special cellar and K&L was lucky enough to have access to some of the family's most special single casks. This little barrel from the Fins Bois area is one of the best values we've ever seen in Cognac. Bottled straight from the cask at 93 proof, it contains eau-de-vie no younger than 15 years old. For the Fins Bois region, that means we're truly in the sweet spot for maturity. An absolutely transcendent nose of apricot preserves, exotic woods, sweet flowers, and subtle earth tones (fresh soil and rocks). The palate belies the high proof here, with rich, dense, maple-covered stone fruits (dried plums and pancakes) soft and easy going down. The high proof does prevent it from feeling syrupy sweet on the palate and the finish is rather lush and refreshing. This is the total package and proof the Fins Bois when matured properly, while not considered Grand Cru, will provide some of Cognac's finest brandy.

There are nice inviting sweet floral aromas. In the mouth there is an nice mouth fell with both rich and delicate flavors. The Park is round and juicy and for those who like a traditional style Cognac.

Another exclusive K&L Cognac that is big rich and rewarding. A fairly big warm nose is matched by caramel baked apple and notes of maple and vanilla. Surprisingly soft and buttery on the palate for a spirit at this proof, it still finishes with a good dose of spice.
