2015 Zafeirakis Limniona Rosé Thessaly

SKU #1254183

100% Limniona. Not only one of my top Greek rosé picks, also one of my top rosé bottlings in general. Bright cranberry and other red fruits with spice and subtle mineral cut on the mid-palate. Has a juicy core of fruit which is bright and refreshing on the palate. (Eric Story, Greek Buyer)

This is a wonderful rose for a great price. It is one of my favorite roses that are currently in stock. Beautiful red fruit aromas lead to a dry complex wine. Layers of complexity broaden this full bodied wine out. While easy to drink alone, it will go well with food.

Greece

- We have the Greeks to thank for introducing wine into Italy and France. And while the legacy of ancient Greek culture lives on, little recognition is given to its modern-day contributions to the wine industry. From the Peloponnese in the south, to Macedonia and Epirus in the north, and islands like Crete, Samos and Santorini, fine wine is once again being made and most of it from indigenous grape varieties not grown in other countries. Styles range from hearty, rustic reds to crisp, neutral whites and heavenly dessert wines. Click for a list of bestselling items from Greece.
