Connoisseurs Guide

*One Star* Bedrock's homage to the Rosés of Bandol's Domaine Tempier is a lively and fragrant pink that hints lightly at candied cherries. It is medium-bodied and on the slightly spry side in balance without tipping to tartness, and its careful combination of integral acidity and buoyant, long-lasting fruit makes for a tasty glass with or without food. (7/2016)

Wine Spectator

Racy aromas of dried cranberry and spice lead to crisp and appealing flavors of orange zest and strawberry. Mourvèdre, Grenache and Carignane. (TF) (8/2016)

K&L Notes

Morgan Twain-Peterson may be the most talented young winemaker in United States. How could he not be, growing up in vineyards beside his well-known father, winemaker Joel Peterson (Ravenswood). Morgan has done exceptionally well in the eyes of the press and has many fans here at K&L. He thoughtfully crafts small-production bottlings from old vines located in heritage vineyards throughout California. Hard to come by, these Bedrock wines already have a loyal and rabid following that just keeps growing year after year. We wer lucky to secure one of Morgan’s less talked-about wines in the Bedrock series, his lovely Mourvèdre-dominated rosé.
