2013 Ronco Blanchis Pinot Grigio Collio

SKU #1227026

Sitting in the northeastern corner of Italy on the border of Slovenia, Collio has an ancient winegrowing history and remains an important DOC zone for quality white wines. Here the Palla family, led by patriarch Giancarlo, produces distinctive wines from these Friulian lands. Densely planted vines produce a terroir-driven Pinot Grigio, which features a flinty profile with notes of pear and fine minerals.

This finely crafted, distinctive Pinot Grigio offers lovely aromas ranging from honeydew melon to pear-like fruit, with a slate-like mineral undertone that carries over nicely to a fresh, clean, crisp, mouthwatering palate impression with a finish that is bright and lingering. Rizzo has demanded that I bring home several cases of this Gem, since it is one of the top Pinot Grigios that we have tasted this year. ***** 13.5% ABV *****
Drink from 2015 to 2020
