2002 Domaine Jean Boillot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières"
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The hugely spicy, toasty nose of the 2002 Meursault Genevrieres leads to a well-fashioned, satiny-textured, rich personality. This focused wine exhibits outstanding depth to its white pepper, pear, and intense mineral-flavored core. (PR)

Knockout vibrant nose combines peach, tangerine, lime, hazelnut and spices. Supersweet and fat, with sappy fruit flavor perfectly framed by new oak and lifted by limey acidity. A compellingly juicy, rich Meursault with superb palate-staining length. Very light on its feet. 93+ (ST)

*Outstanding* Aromatically, this is classic Genevrières with its spicy, exotic, sexy nose framed by a background hint of new wood followed by ripe, opulent, indeed even lush flavors that maintain their focus. Delicious yet entirely serious and this is a wine of obvious breed that isn't necessarily better than either the Mouchère or the Pucelles but one that is entirely different. Most impressive.
