2011 Château Trillol Corbières
44% Grenache, 29% Carignan, 27% Syrah. Sichel family property at 400 m. Deep garnet. Soft, ripe dark fruit, with a terrific combination of fruit sweetness and tangy, spicy acidity. Both youthful and joyful, though the tannins are smoothed. Rich but really lively. Persistent, rather elegant and *Good Value*. Drink 2015-2020. (JH)
A medium-bodied red, with herb and leather aromas, flanked by plum, black cherry and spice flavors. Presents a fresh core of clean minerality, supported by bright acidity and dusty tannins. Spice and floral notes show on the finish.
Château Trillol sits high in the hills of southwestern France. The vineyard is located in between two of the Corbières terroirs: Termenès and Quéribus.
