1980 Darroze La Poste Bas Armagnac (750ml)

SKU #1218818 92 points Wine Enthusiast

The aroma is toasty and jammy; following aeration the aroma turns spirity, mildly prickly and grapy/pear-like. The palate entry is biscuity/bakery-like and rich; the midpalate showcases the balance between the candy bar sweetness, the sweet oak, the alcohol, and the dried fruit ripeness. Finishes a tad raw. (4/2007)
