St. George Green Chile Vodka (750ml)

SKU #1195507

The no-compete clause is over!!! St. George is finally back in the vodka business. After selling off the Hangar One brand to Proximo, our local heroes over in Alameda were not allowed to create a vodka of their own for four whole years. Time has now passed, and the contract has expired. Let us now introduce you to the new St. George vodkas. Made from California jalapenos, habaneros, serranos, and both yellow and red bell peppers, each pepper is actually infused and distilled separately before being blended together. The still is also packed with cilantro and a bit of lime peel to add extra brightness and flavor. Try this in a Bloody Mary, add it with tequila in a Margarita or Paloma, and even a Pina Colada. It's incredible!!! All hail the new kings of American vodka. The boys from the East Bay are back to claim the crown and the throne.

Though I’m not a huge vodka drinker, St. George’s Green Chile vodka is like nothing else I’ve ever tasted. It's now an essential bottle in my home bartending repertoire. It smells so incredibly good and the flavors are so fresh – the perfect aromatic blend of chile, bell pepper, and cilantro. The palate is nice and weighty and the flavor profile reminds me of a green chile tamale with notes of salt and olives, and a hint of sweetness. My only gripe is that it doesn’t pack any heat. I suppose the lack of spice does make it more versatile for cocktails, though, and this Green Chile Vodka will add such incredible dimension to your cocktails – even if you just use a splash. Try it. You'll be hooked.

Love it. My Bloody Marys will never be the same. It smells like a big bowl of salsa and tastes like an explosion of Mexican cuisine. The applications are endless. It's basically gin made entirely with chiles.
