 Harvested from 8th October, the 1996 Fleur de Gay has a pure, ripe nose of raspberry, cranberry, mint and crushed stones with impressive delineation. It is still very tight at the moment but it begins to unfurl with continued aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy, quite dry tannins. It exhibits commendable weight in the mouth but compared to the 1995 it is very linear... (NM)  (7/2013)
