2012 Turley "Fredericks Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel
The 2012 Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard is explosive, sumptuous and drop-dead gorgeous. Orange peel and white pepper overtones add complexity and intrigue to this dark, powerful Zinfandel. The 2012 is endowed with tremendous depth and pure power. There is a lot to look forward to.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
It is eclipsed somewhat by the spectacular 2012 Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard, a site that was planted in 1937 at about 900 foot elevation. This beautiful Zinfandel possesses a wonderful sucrosity, richness and intensity. I would highly recommend drinking these Zinfandels in their first 4-7 years of life.

15.9% alcohol): Dark red-ruby. Slightly roasted aromas of dark berries, minerals and black pepper, with a floral topnote emerging with air. Fat and sweet but a bit youthfully aggressive, with concentrated dark blue fruit and graphite flavors supported by serious powerful tannins. Very structured zinfandel from volcanic soil. This will need some patience.
