2006 Harris "Lakeview Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Lakeview Vineyard possesses abundant tannin, plenty of structure, density, and power. These single vineyard, 100% Cabernet Sauvignons, from the north slope of Diamond Mountain, are all aged in Taransaud barrels. The estate vineyard is 28 acres, and the proprietors are Mike and Treva Harris. (RP)

Good full medium ruby. Full-blown aromas of ripe plum, mocha, smoke and tobacco leaf, lifted by a minty nuance. Sweeter, denser and fruitier than the Jake's Creek offering, with notes of plum, redcurrant and gravel. There's more middle here to support the substantial tannins. (ST)
Lakeview is Harris's mid-block vineyard with very rocky and chalky soils. The drainage is excellent and receives full sun all day. It's planted in one acre of Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon, one-quarter acre of Petit Verdot, and one acre of Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon on 101-14 rootstock. Lakeview Vineyard usually matures mid-to-late October.
