2010 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Dalla Valle's Cabernet Sauvignon is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Dark red and purple fruit, spices, licorice and violets jump from the glass. Sexy, nuanced and utterly stunning, the 2010 has it all; expressive aromatics, layered fruit and the most polished tannins imaginable. A textured, creamy finish rounds things out in this head-spinning Cabernet Sauvignon from Naoko Dalla Valle. The first impression is one of exuberance, but then the wine shuts down very quickly in the glass. Readers need to give the 2010 at least a few years in bottle to fully come together. (AG)

The brilliant 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is slightly richer, revealing more smokiness, graphite and creme de cassis notes as well as a dense purple color, a big, masculine, tannic mouthfeel and a full-bodied, rich finish. This majestic Cabernet Sauvignon should age effortlessly for 25-30 years. It possesses slightly more sucrosity and flesh than the 2009, but both of these are brilliant examples of hillside Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Cabernet Franc. (RP)

Bright medium ruby. Sappy, deep aromas of dark raspberry, cassis and graphite. Silky, highly concentrated and seamless, conveying an impression of outstanding density without weight. Wonderfully suave cabernet with a sappy, building finishing featuring sexy floral lift, noble tannins and terrific energy and length. A beauty, and impeccably balanced already. (AG)
Combines richness with finesse and grace, offering ripe dark berry, currant, loamy earth and dusty, cedary oak with firm, gripping tannins that echo the fruit and pleasing earthiness. Best from 2014 through 2024.
Bright crimson. Interesting hint of green apples on the nose! Also some floral notes – intriguing! Though it’s a little overpoweringly sweet on the palate. Tannins then really grip the palate. A youthful, ambitious wine.
Blended with 19% Cabernet Franc.
