Birra Del Borgo "Sedici Gradi" Barrel Aged Barleywine, Italy (375ml)

SKU #1079897

In Borgorose, a village in the Rieti province of Italy, Birra Del Borgo was launched in 2005 by brewmaster Leonardo Di Vincenzo. His notes on this selection: "A unique and distinctive beer in the international beerbrewing scene. Sixteen is its ABV, sixteen are the months this beer spends ageing in the wooden barriques. This gives the beer a deep complexity in its flavours, aromas and color. A true barley nectar with an ebony tone, dark and dense, that once in the glass emanates unusual aromas: from vanilla and nutty notes to malted ones, finishing with strong and clear toasted and maderized scents. It has a good minerality and a gentle sweetness."
