 Medium yellow. Aromas of lemon drop, wild herbs and honey, with a slightly candied character. Dense and thick but lively, with strong acidity and a floral element lifting the concentrated citrus fruit flavors. The wine's sweetness and silky texture are leavened by its firm acid spine, with a late note of green tea contributing piquancy. This is a wine which needed to benefit from some cellar time. On release it was quite disjointed. Nothing from chilling it to ice nor letting it warm to room temperature could really get it together. I tasted this the most recent time on JAn 14, 2014 and it was exactly what you would expect from something with very high standards. Butterscotch, Toasted biscotti, hazelnuts, and sweet cream. The texture of this wine just sat on your palate for minutes. This is truly an example of something which merits the price and respect. Wonderful wine.
