Great Divide Brewing "Oak Aged Yeti" Imperial Stout, Colorado (22oz)

SKU #1061345 95 points Wine Enthusiast

*Top 25 Beers of 2015* This classic oak-aged stout is always a highly sought-after selection when it’s released each winter, thanks to its decadent roasty character, warming alcohol level and remarkable overall balance. It’s a complex and flavorful brew, with assertive aromas and flavors of roasted malt, cocoa powder, burnt coffee, charred oak, dried black cherry, Raisinets, black pepper and vanilla bean. The mouthfeel is full and round, with a resinous hop slick that lingers through the warm close. A perfect cold-weather sipper that can be enjoyed now, or cellared through 2018. (12/2015)

K&L Notes

"This is Yeti Imperial Stout's sophisticated sibling. They may be from the same clan, but they have entirely different personalities. Oak aging gives a subtle vanilla character, rounding out Yeti's intense roastiness and huge hoppy nature. Who says you can't tame a Yeti?" (the brewery's note)

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
