Combines ripe, firm, complex fruit with subtle hints of cedar and spice. Full-bodied, with ripe pear, melon, honeysuckle and mineral notes, ending with a rich, fleshy finish. Drink now through 2014.

Connoisseurs Guide
A very pleasant, youthful and still developing Chardonnay, this wine smells of pears, citrus fruits and green apples compounded by a veneer of creamy oak. It is full in body and somewhat round at entry, then firms up appropriately across the palate and finds unresolved finishing raggedness in the finish. Its more than solid fruit and acidity suggest that the wine is going to reward a few years of patience.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Light yellow. Lively white peach, orange and nutmeg on the nose, plus a hint of fresh sage. Concentrated, tactile and smoky, with a sappy, stony quality to its pit fruit and citrus pith flavors. Becomes richer with air while retaining its structure. The bright finish shows very good chewy persistence.

K&L Notes
A bit lighter in style than the 2007 Chardonnay, this wine really shines for its nervy acidic core. The aromas are pure Russian River - apple and melon, mandarin and white flowers - and the palate layers stone fruit and pear flavors with the judicious use of oak. Great texture and a long finsih.
