From the hills of Montefalco, in the Pagliaro zone, this is 100% Sagrantino was harvested by hand and aged for 48 months (two years in stainless steel and one year each in large French oak barrels and in bottle. It is a rich, dry red, with aromas of vanilla, dried prunes, figs and blackberries, which just happens to be the perfect foil to savory and gamy meat dishes.
