Red-ruby. Superripe, slightly high-toned aromas of dried berries and pepper. Densely packed and rich, with great life to its dark berry and mineral flavors owing to perfectly integrated acidity. Very ripe but not at all over the top. Sweet but not thick. An impressively structured Zinfandel that should age well. 93+ (ST)

By focusing on old-vine vineyards in particular, Turley aims to both create and preserve California’s unique winemaking culture. All of the vineyards are either certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers or somewhere in the process, and they use all natural yeasts in the fermentations.
