A good red, with plum, berry and vanilla character. Medium in body and tannins, with a short finish. (1/ 2001)
This property is on the border of St-Julien and the Haut-Médoc, quite close to Beychevelle and Branaire Ducru. A classically-styled Bordeaux with plenty of complex earthy flavors and cassis fruit. Needs one hour decanting and then it blossoms forth. No new wave flashiness here, just solid good Cabernet flavors. This is the style that made Bordeaux famous!
