A unique family-run winery better known as the "still on the hill" where master distiller Miles Karakasevic and his son Marko handcraft unusual wine, port and spirits. These handcrafted vodkas from Charbay are of excellent quality and drink beautifully on the rocks or neat - though they make for great cocktails too. The Blood Orange Vodka is made using tree-ripened blood oranges from Central California. Marko and Miles then crush the oranges, skins and all, and then the flavor and color are extracted over a period of three months. The fruit extract is added to Charbay's award-winning Clear Vodka, made in a smooth sipping style. Try the Blood Orange in Charbay's "Pink Lemonade" 2 oz. Charbay Blood Orange Vodka, 1 oz. Cointreau, 2 oz. sweet and sour, ½ oz. cranberry juice. Shake until well-chilled; serve in a martini glass with a lemon twist (Recipe by Becky Graziano at the Hotel Victor’s Vix, South Beach)
