Copper-edged golden-straw. Superripe aromas of damp earth, chocolate and apricot; shows Tokaj-like qualities. Fat, sweet and deep, with almost exotic ripeness in the mouth. Honeyed and very ripe. Gives an almost saline impression of extract. Finishes very long, with a note of burnt sugar. Got better and better in the open bottle. Lovely balance. (7/ 1998)
This subtle white grows on you, showing lovely tropical, toasted coconut and lemon flavors that blend together harmoniously on the intense, long, sweet finish. (4/ 1995)
Medium gold-colored, with botrytis, creme brulee, honeyed tropical fruits in the nose, this full-bodied, sweet wine possesses good acidity, layers of glycerin-imbued, plump, chewy, honeyed fruit, and plenty of spice and alcohol in the lusty finish. It is a luxuriously made, in-your-face style of sweet wine. (10/ 1998)
