Stunning wine! This is a great vintage for all Bordeaux. Lush, ripe wines. 93 points from the Wine Spectator: "Wonderful. This is a concentrated, earthy red with lots going on. Deep dark-ruby color. Fresh aromas of blackberries, dried herbs and spices. Full-bodied and chewy, with lots of rustic tannins and a long, tobacco aftertaste." (05/99) And, according to Robert Parker: "A flattering wine, the 1989 is nearly as structured and concentrated as the 1988. If you like wonderfully round, hedonistic, soft, alcoholic, luscious St.-Emilions, this super-ripe, heady, and voluptuously textured wine will offer many thrills." (02/93)
