Clynelish is one of the Northern Highland's most underappreciated distilleries. This 13 year old example captures the essence of the distillery perfectly. The nose is honeyed with a touch of salt and spice. On the palate, there is honeycomb, orange marmalade and summer flowers with a restrained oakiness and a the slightest hint of smoke. Very well balanced and well priced.
